Nara Lokesh, TDP leader, son of Chandrababu Naidu and former minister, is currently doing his Padayatra Yuva Galam. On Thursday, Lokesh crossed the 700 km milestone. The yatra began on the 27th of January from Kuppam. Over a period of 55 days, the Yatro covered 700kms. Throughout the yatra, Lokesh’s main agenda has been public-interaction. During this yatra, Lokesh made promises to the public. The 7 key promises were as follows:
100 KM – Bangaru Palyam
At the 100 km milestone at Bangaru Palyam in Chittoor district, Nara Lokesh vowed to start a dialysis centre with his own funds after TDP comes back to power.
200 KM – Karvetinagar
A week later, Lokesh’s Yuva Galam yatra touched the 200 km milestone at Karvetinagar where he promised to set-up a degree college.
300 KM – Srikalahasti
Lokesh completed his 300 KM yatra at temple town Srikalahasti. He promised to start a drinking water scheme in the area catering to 13 villages that would fulfil their needs of drinking water.
400 KM – Chandragiri
Chandragiri is Lokesh’s father’s birthplace. He decided to start a Primary Health Centre here.
500 KM – Madanapalli
Lokesh promised to set up a Tomato Processing Unit and also a Cold Storage in Madanapalli upon achieving the 500km mark.
600 KM – Kadiri
Upon achieving his 600 KM mark in Kadiri, Lokesh promised to set up a Temple Tourism Circuit for the Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Kadiri constituency.
700 KM – Penukonda
Lokesh completed 700 kms of the on-foot journet in 55 days at Penukonda constituency. He unveiled the milestone at Gatturu. Lokesh assured to fulfill the drinking water needs of Madakasira people. He also vowed to complete pending works of lift irrigation related to Handri Neeva canal.
