Manoj Sinha, lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir has announced that the Amarnath Yatra will be commencing from July 1, the main reason for doing is that PM Modi always wanted a hassle-free pilgrimage and Union home minister Amit Shah also had the same thought process.
With this, the pilgrims and the service providers will be given best in class healthcare and other essential facilities during the Yatra. Moreover, the telecom services will be made operational prior to the commencement of the pilgrimage.
The 62 day long Amarnath Yatra will commence on July 1 and will culminate on August 31, 2023. The registration of the yatra will be through both online and offline modes, starting from April 17.
“All the stakeholders departments are working in coordination to ensure facilities for lodging, power, water, security and other arrangements for the smooth conduct of Yatra,” said Manoj Sinha.
Moreover, as per the L-G office, Sinha has directed the officials to ensure high levels of cleanliness and to take necessary interventions for sanitation and waste management.
The Yatra will be commencing from both routes simultaneously; the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and Baltal in the Ganderbal district.
