An affidavit would prove NCP loyalty, Ajit Pawar denies defecting to the BJP

It was alleged that Maharashtra’s Opposition Leader and his colleagues were being the subject of “baseless speculation”

He categorically denied speculation about his defection to the BJP on Tuesday, in an effort to put an end to the buzz that he would join the ruling BJP along with a section of NCP MLAs. As the party president Sharad Pawar leads the NCP, he said it is “a family” that will continue to work together.

Maharashtra is still haunted by the coup of 2019

The NCP leader spoke to reporters across Mumbai, claiming that the allegations that are being made against him and his colleagues in the party are “baseless speculation”.

As far as I am concerned, this news (about the defector defecting to the BJP) has no basis in fact. It is time to put an end to all this, and I think we need to end all this as soon as possible,” he said.

In a strongly worded statement, Mr. Pawar denied the news reports detailing him allegedly taking the signatures of 40 NCP lawmakers with whom he was going to split the party and join the ruling BJP-Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena dispensation.

In order to smoothen ‘schisms’ within MVA, Congress General Secy KC Venugopal meets Uddhav Thackeray at the Congress General Secretariat.

Despite being offered the opportunity to join the BJP with 40 MLAs, I have not been able to get their signatures.” Political leaders of all sorts can speak whatever they want about me, and I have no trouble understanding them.” It is up to them to make their own choices. The former Deputy Chief Minister explained, “In order to divert attention from the critical issues facing Maharashtra, including the plight of farmers and crop destruction due to unseasonal showers, this disinformation is deliberately being spread by those trying to divert attention from them.”
