CM Mamta Banerjee plans a two-day long protest. The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamta Banerjee has decided to start a two-day long dharna. The Chief Minister is doing this as a form of protest against the Centre on the topic of non-payment of dues. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is going to start the protest on 29 March 2023 near the Ambedkar statue in Kolkata. The Chief Minister also mentioned that only Kolkata has not been given money for 100 days (about 3 and a half months). She also added that the funds have not yet come despite her meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On this topic, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee said, “I met the Prime Minister around six months ago in this regard and asked for the disbursement of Rs 1.15 lakh crore under various heads. I have also spoken to Amit Shah when he came here for the meeting and have written several letters to the Central government regarding this,”. Later, she also added, “They are sending central teams and making excuses. Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) directors are acting like local BJP leaders based on the Centre’s instructions. The country cannot run like this,” CM Mamta Banerjee talked about how the Central Government was deliberately trying to stop the funds coming to Kolkata.

This also when she decided to take a stand and hold a protest saying, “I will hold a two-day protest at the Ambedkar Statue on March 29 and 30,” Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is very sure and certain that she will go through with the plan to sit in front of the Ambedkar statue from 29 March to 30 March 2023.
