Delhi faces waterlogging due to Heavy Rainfall

Delhi faces waterlogging due to Heavy Rainfall. The national capital of India is witnessing waterlogging in several areas due to the extreme downpour and thunderstorms that took place in the city on Thursday. The dust storms, heavy rain and even thunderstorms have led to waterlogging in some parts of Delhi as well as in its adjoining areas. Similar weather conditions have been predicted for the city on Friday as well. According to the weather forecast by the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) located in New Delhi, places such as Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Rohtak, Mahendargarh, Rewari, Rajaund, Assandh and other areas will be experiencing light rain on Friday.

Incidents of waterlogging have been reported in the South and West parts of Delhi. Other than this, cases of fallen trees in the Civil Lines, Rohini and other areas of the National capital have been reported. Not only this, but two teenagers also suffered injuries due to a wall collapsing on them in the heavy rains. Apparently, they had taken shelter along a nine-inch wall at a construction zone in Sector 44, but the wall wasn’t sturdy enough and collapsed on the children. This incident took place at around 7 o’clock. The rain also affected the traffic during peak work hours at junctions as the cars had to move slowly due to the waterlogging.
