Former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Granted Anticipatory Bail in Angallu 307 Case

Andhra Pradesh, India – On October 13, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted anticipatory bail to former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Angallu 307 case. This decision comes in the midst of multiple cases registered against Naidu, including the Inner Ring Road, Fiber Net, and Angallu 307 cases.

Unraveling the Angallu Case

The Angallu case revolves around an incident in which the Andhra Pradesh police registered a case against Naidu and several other TDP leaders. They were accused of instigating an attack on local leaders from the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). In the Angallu case, Naidu is facing charges, including an attempt to murder, among other sections.

Currently, Chandrababu Naidu is detained in Rajahmundry jail in connection with a multi-crore skill development scam case.

Anticipatory Bail Relief

Earlier, on October 11, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravati inner ring road case. The court issued an interim order preventing Naidu’s arrest in that case until October 16.

Notably, the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was apprehended by the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the skill development case last month. His bail petition had been rejected by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Vijayawada.

Supreme Court Appeal

Simultaneously, Chandrababu Naidu has moved to the Supreme Court after the Andhra Pradesh High Court denied him anticipatory bail in the AP FiberNet Scam Case. The Apex Court is scheduled to hear the case today.

Heated Political Accusations

Amidst these legal proceedings, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Naidu. While addressing a public meeting in Samarlakota on October 12, he alleged that Naidu and his family had looted the state.

In his words, “Chandrababu, his son Lokesh, Dattaputru, Ramoji Rao, Radhakrishna, Naidu, who are partners in this gangster gang, none of them are in our state. Andhra state, why do they want these people, they want to loot here and share in Hyderabad there.”

Additionally, the Chief Minister questioned politician and actor Pawan Kalyan for offering support to the TDP chief. He expressed skepticism about Kalyan’s intentions and his involvement in state politics.

The legal battles and political controversies surrounding Chandrababu Naidu continue to be a focal point of discussion in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.
