Gujarat: PM Modi’s one-day visit

On Friday, PM Modi arrived at the airport early in the morning for a single-day visit to Gujarat. He launched several projects worth Rs 4,400 crore.

PM Modi visited Gujarat on May 12th

On May 12, PM Modi reached Gujarat in the morning to attend the 29th Biennial Conference of the All-India Primary Teachers Association and 3 other programs in Gandhinagar.

The Prime Minister will participate in the ‘All India Education Association Convention’, the 29th biennial conference of the All-India Primary Teachers Federation.

The theme of the conference is “Teachers are at the heart of transformative education”.

The PM said while attending the event that, ‘India today is creating new opportunities according to the needs of the 21st century and keeping this in mind the new National Education Policy was formulated’.

The PM visited Gujarat International Finance Technical City (Gift City) to review the status of various ongoing development activities.

The development projects also launched including those of the Road and Transport Department, Urban Development Department, Mines and Minerals Department, and Water Supply Department.

The total outlay of this project is Rs.2,450 crores.

The PM also launched ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) “Rural & Urban” projects. Participated in ‘Griha Pravesh’ of about 19,000 houses constructed under the scheme.

The worth of this project is Rs.1950 crore and it will hand over the keys to the grantees of the scheme during the occasion.
