According to Police, the three accused had committed three crimes, one in Sector 32 and 39 of Gurgaon each and third one in Vasant Kunj. Moreover, the Iran men only targeted people of their motherland or from Arab countries.
ACP (crime) Preet Pal Sangwan said on January 15, an Iranian couple had filed a complaint that they were robbed by three men, posing as policemen in the city.
However, Police have recovered foreign currency, which includes 1,120 US dollars, 10 Dirhams, 150 Euros, some police stickers, five fake number plates and two cars, which all were part of the crimes by the trio.
Moreover, Investigations were going on for months but on April 5, a police official arrested the three from Vasant Kunj. After the interrogation happened, the Delhi police came across the news that the trio had committed two crimes in Gurgaon and had informed the Gurgaon police immediately.
Police had also scanned some CCTV footages in the area and after some investigation the three Iranian were identified as Hossein Rezaeifard, Marammad Hussain Peerfalak, and Abdol Salam. Afterwards, an FIR was registered under sections 379 (theft), 420 (cheating), and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sadar police station.
