On Monday, the BJP asserted that West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress had transformed into a “private limited corporation” and that the state’s circumstances were worse under its rule than a “jungle raaj.”It criticised the government of Mamata Banerjee for its handling of the unemployment and lack of development problems.
The TMC announced protests against the Centre’s policies on March 30, the day Ram Navami is observed. According to Suvendhu Adhikari, leader of the BJP in the state assembly, people who adhere to the “sanatan culture” will commemorate Lord Ram’s birth day.He claimed that after presenting “fabricated and fraudulent” statements, she announced protests on that day rather than announcing a holiday.
On March 29 and 30, the TMC has called for two days of protests throughout the state.Adhikari clarified his alleged demand for all TMC competitors, including the Left in the state, to band together against Banerjee during a news conference, saying that everyone should first declare who they plan to vote for.
He accused the TMC of “misrule” and claimed that while the number of registered educated unemployed has increased from almost 1 crore to Rs 6 lakh crore, the state’s unpaid loan balance has increased from Rs 2 lakh crore.
He noted that the number of migrant workers has increased nine times to nearly 45 lakh.Bengal is the only state that hasn’t submitted an audit of its GST portion, aside from Left-ruled Kerala, he claimed.
He asserted that the TMC is a private limited corporation rather than a political party and accused it of engaging in widespread corruption and family rule.Adhikari also used TMC leaders’ remarks against the armed services to support his assertion that they are “anti-nationals.”
