I was once having a conversation with my friend about nurses and he said that I would be hard pressed to find an evil one. Having watched Ratched literally the day before, I quickly as a shot mentioned her name and then listed Kathy Bates in Misery as well as Nurse Jackie, who was addicted to pills. He was watching me with a look of amazement and after declaring me an annoying know-it-all( I cannot deny the allegations, I earned the label in this case and many other cases, although I have no clue as to why we were talking about nurses in the first place)
These words of mine I feel were spoken in a jokingly prophetic manner, for as I am writing this article, it is coincidentally about a nurse that has just been arrested for murdering 7 newborn babies and would have continued this vicious spree had an Indian origin doctor not intervened in a Holmesian twist. Although the savior medical community turned killer is not a recent phenomenon, one of the world’s most prolific serial killers was a doctor, Dr Harold Shipman and even the infamous Dr Josef Mengele, made much more Luciferian with his Nazi association.
Lucy Letby was recently convicted of killing babies in the neonatal unit in the Countess of Chester hospital and effectively in her own words enjoyed doing so, with one prosecutor remarking at her trial that she was trying to play God. The case, an already outrageous one, is made more so when it is found out that one of her victims was just a day old. A handwritten letter with the words burning brightly on the top- “I am an awful person”.
A bunch of doctors, including one Dr Ravi Jayaram who raised concerns regarding this were dissuaded from contacting police and were asked to “apologize to her” as Dr Jayaram has alleged.
