On National Panchayati Raj Day at Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi unveils several development initiatives

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India in collaboration with the Government of Madhya Pradesh is commemorating National Panchayati Raj Day on 24th April 2023 at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh as a major event as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). The Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest at the national function to be organized at Special Armed Forces Ground, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Guest for the national event will be the Prime Minister, and it will be held at the Special Armed Forces Ground in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. On this historic occasion, he will speak to elected officials, employees of Panchayati Raj Institutions, and Special Gram Sabha across the nation.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the government has been consistently working to develop the Panchayati Raj system in the nation and praised the role of Panchayats in carrying out the government’s initiatives to improve rural India’s quality of life.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate an integrated e-GramSwaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the Panchayat level. At the event conducted at the SAF venue in Rewa, Mr. Modi also virtually officiated the ‘Griha Pravesh’ (ceremony performed when one enters one’s new house) for 4.11 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana recipients.

The goal of the eGramSwaraj-GeM Integration is to make it possible for Panchayats to use GeM to purchase goods and services while utilizing the eGramSwaraj platform. Panchayats would be inspired to usher in the digital transformation by the Prime Minister’s announcement of eGramSwaraj – GeM Integration since it will give them access to a user-friendly platform for payments and procurement.

The distribution of 1.25 crore SVAMITVA Property Cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme in the nation was marked by the Prime Minister presenting the cards to a select group of recipients.

To increase public participation and guarantee that all the advantages of government programs are received, PM Modi also launched the “Joint Steps Towards Development” campaign. The PM also laid the foundation of the redevelopment of Gwalior station and flag off three trains, including the Rewa-Itwari and Chhindwara-Nainpur-Chhindwara trains.
