The CM pledges 100 crores for the development of the border region

According to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the Karnataka government would provide the Karnataka Border Area Development Authority 100 crore by March 31 in order to enhance infrastructure, employment opportunities, education, and other services in border regions.

The CM instructed the relevant agencies to create action plans on these fronts. On Thursday, the chief minister of Karnataka made the following statements at a ceremony to present the state-level award “Gadinaada Chetana”, on behalf of the Karnataka Border Areas Development Authority: “A total of Rs 25 crore has already been given to the authority, and the next Budget will allot another Rs 100 crore. Along with Kannadigas living abroad, issues affecting residents in border regions must also be addressed and remedied.”

Bommai claimed that it was his responsibility as chief minister to look out for, support, and realise the ambitions of the residents of the border regions.

“The development of the Kannadigas in those areas must be our first priority.”

Does the government take any action?

The government was providing the required facilities to Kannadigas in the border areas, offering them opportunity and a bright future. The government will not ignore the Kannadigas in the border areas.

The Karnataka chief minister claimed that if regions are established along linguistic lines, conflicts are certain to arise amid the ongoing disagreement with the neighbouring state of Maharashtra over disputed border villages. He said that it was crucial to set aside all differences and coexist peacefully, but noted that this was not always the case for many Kannadigas in the border regions.

“Every time I go to the border areas, people are kind to me. At a period when residents of border regions coexisted peacefully, prolonging such disagreements would not be beneficial to the state or the nation. Everybody has to understand this “CM said.

In light of the recent dispute with the neighboring state of Maharashtra over disputed border villages, the chief minister of Karnataka asserted that disputes would unavoidably occur if regions were constituted along linguistic lines. He emphasized the need for everyone to put aside their differences and live in harmony, but he also pointed out that many Kannadigas in border areas did not always do this.

“People are friendly to me whenever I visit the border regions. During a time when border region people coexisted peacefully, continuing such disputes would not be advantageous to the state or the country. Everyone must comprehend this “stated CM.
