The campaign emblem was given to the Eknath Shinde-led group on Friday after the Election Committee acknowledged it as the legitimate Shiv Sena.
The Commissioners permitted the Uddhav Thackeray side to retain the “blazing flame” election emblem assigned to it until the conclusion of the parliamentary governorship election in the state in a 78-page decision on the lengthy battle for the organization’s control.
According to the Board, Democratic candidates who supported Eknath Shinde received roughly 76% of the ballots counted in support of the 55 Shiv Sena candidates who won the 2019 Maharashtra Council elections.
According to a landmark judgment by multiple members of the Election Commission, the Democratic candidates from the Uddhav Thackeray group received 23.5% of the votes cast in support of the Shiv Sena contestants who won.
Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, said on Friday that Balasaheb Thackeray’s philosophy had triumphed since the Election Committee had recognized their party as the legitimate Bharatiya Janata party (bjp).
“The legacy of Balasaheb has won this battle. The genuine Shiv Sena is ours.
“We formed the Mumbai administration the year before bearing Balasaheb’s principles in mind,” Shinde remarked.
Additionally, it mandated that the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena keep its election emblem of a torch and temporary campaign slogan of Shiv Sena.
Eknath Shinde’s claims on the national party emblem has indeed been approved by the Election Commission, some eight months after his coup in Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena. This is a major defeat for former Maharashtra Governor Uddhav Thackeray.
