Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Lok Sabha MP due to the ‘Modi surname’ case. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi attacked the prime minister by asking why citizens’ retirement money is being invested in Adani Companies despite the numerous allegations against the conglomerate. This caused Rahul Gandhi to be disqualified from the Lok Sabha.
The leader of the Congress party took this information and posted it on Twitter under the heading “LIC’s capital, to Adani! SBI’s capital, to Adani! EPFO’s capital too, to Adani! “Mr. Prime Minister, no investigation, no answer why so much fear,” he tweeted in Hindi, asking why the public’s retirement money was still being invested in companies owned by Adani even after the ‘Modani’ scandal was brought to light. “Why is the public’s retirement money still being invested in companies owned by Adani even after the ‘Modani’ scandal was brought to light?”
Since the publication of the Hindenburg report, which revealed a plethora of charges against the conglomerate, including stock manipulation and fraudulent activities, the Adani group has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. This has been the case since the study was made public. 2017 saw the beginning of operations for the Hindenburg Short Selling Research Institute in the United States. Despite the fact that the Adani group has denied the charges, stating that they are an attempt to smear India and spread false information.
On the other hand, Gandhi has been very critical of the prime minister on the Adani issues and has been demanding that a probe be conducted.
He claims that the reasons he was kicked out of his seat in the Lok Sabha were because of the concerns and queries he had over the Adani issue. On Friday, the chief of the Congress party was found guilty of defamation and sentenced to two years in prison by a court in Surat. He was also disqualified from his seat in the Lok Sabha.
