Zomato will use 1 lakh Zypp Electric e-scooters by 2024.

According to Zypp Electric, the company will deploy one lakh electric scooters for the Zomato online food delivery network by 2024. According to the statement made by the firm, the alliance is a component of Zomato's enormous ambition to transition to an all-electric infrastructure by the year 2030. This partnership will allow us to dramatically cut our carbon emissions and provide our clients more environmentally friendly alternatives for their last mile of delivery. According to Mohit Sardana, Zomato's Chief Operating Officer of Food Delivery, "We look forward to working together to create more efficient and environmentally friendly deliveries." Over 13,000 electric cars have been put into operation by Zypp Electric, a company that has raised a total of USD 37.5 million. "All food delivery is done on two-wheelers, and the vast majority operate on petrol; at the same time, they are looking to switch to electric vehicles to save money. According to Tushar Mehta, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Zypp Electric, the company aims to "create a more efficient, sustainable, and customer-centric delivery experience by leveraging our EV fleet management technology and innovative partner solutions." In February, the EV-as-a-service platform secured USD 25 million in its series B investment, headed by Gogoro, a worldwide technological leader in the battery-swapping ecosystem. By 2025, Zypp hopes to have a fleet of 200,000 electric vehicles and a presence in 30 more cities throughout India, largely thanks to its secured funds. Zypp offers EV solutions and delivery partners for various firms, including Zomato, Swiggy, BigBasket, Amazon, Flipkart, Zepto, and Blinkit.
