An analysis of exit national surveys on Monday revealed that the Nationalist People’s Party (NPP), led by Governor Conrad Sangma, will win 20 chairs and become the newly organization in Shillong.
Another analysis of the outcome of the exit polls predicted that the Trinamool Congress, the government of Kolkata Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, would receive 11 seats and that the Bhartiya Janata Party and Congress will tie for third spot with six seats respectively.
Competing groups could win up to 17 seat, the results reveal. According to an exits survey conducted by Zee Media, the NPP would win 21–26 seat, Trinamool 8–13, the BJP 6–11, and the Congress 3–6. It showed that other groups will hold 10–19 seat.
NPP received 18–26 seats, while Trinamool received 8–14, according to the Times Now–ETG Investigation polling data. According to the polling data, the Bharatiya janata party would win 3-6 seat, the Congress 2–5, and certain other organizations 12-23.
According to the India Today-Axis My India polling data, the NPP will win 18 to 24 seats, Trinamool 5 to 9, the Congress 6 to 12, the BJP 4 to 8, as well as other organizations 12 to 20.
A further polling data by Jan ki Baat predicted that the NPP will gain 11–16 seats, Trinamool 9–14, Congress 6–11, BJP 3–7, as well as other organizations 20–21.
Prior to actually running for office in the year, the Bharatiya janata party broke off its coalition with the NPP and ran unopposed in 60 of the constituencies.
Mr. Sangma emphasised that a campaign is distinct from the creation of an administration because the national polls indicated that neither group would prevail with a majority.
