Two women to be MLAs in Kohima

In Kohima, women have already been actively participating in both the governmental and business realms. There are a number of instances which show how women played an active role in cultural and social occasions in addition to the democratic society revolution.

Hekani Jakhalu Kense and Salhoutuonuo Kruse of the BJP’s partnership, National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), were elected as the province’s only two female MLAs, making some sort of record in Kohima. Pradip Phanjoubam, a well-known correspondent, said: “Gender relations are quite powerful in northern and central regions like Mizzoram and Manipur, however they haven’t being successful in impacting official government in the exact same way that they influence informally elections.
