West Bengal: TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee said, the Centre forcibly withheld MGNREGA dues

Jalpaiguri: On Saturday, National General Secretary of (TMC) Abhishek Banerjee said, that the centre forcibly withheld MGNREGA dues because BJP-led central government failed to win Bengal.

TMC Leader and nephew of CM Mamta Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee addressed rally at Mainaguri in Jalpaiguri.

While addressing people he said that Bengal is the only state in India where a dictatorial central government and PM have forcibly stopped the MGNREGA dues.

In Jalpaiguri district, there are 8 lakh people, who are connected to MGNREGA, and their life run through MGNREGA and the work they do for 100 days, he said.

The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is the public bill enacted on August 25, 2005.

MGNREGA’s main goal is to provide livelihood security to rural people and guarantee 100 days of wage employment in the financial year to rural households.

The Public should vote for a party that thinks of their needs. The Public voted for Mamta Didi because she is well-grounded and understands the need of the people, Abhishek Banerjee said.

On the other hand, BJP’s MP never thinks about the public of West Bengal, because the public not voted for him on the basis of needs but based on the religion following which they have withheld the dues.

TMC Leader Abhishek Banerjee threatened the central government while addressing people that he will do protest in New Delhi against the central government unless they clear the dues.

Last month CM Mamta Banerjee did protest for the MGNREGA.
