Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the state’s 35th mother and child care centre, furthering his government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the people.
The newly constructed hospital, built at a cost of Rs 8 crore, aims to cater to the needs of pregnant women and newborn children. CM Mann announced that a total of 45 such hospitals will be established across the state, with 35 already dedicated to the public in the past year.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann highlighted the emphasis his government has placed on the power, employment, education, and health sectors since assuming office. He informed that 584 Aam Aadmi Clinics, offering free healthcare services, are operational in the state, benefiting over 31.19 lakh patients so far. These clinics provide comprehensive diagnostics tests, medicines, and state-of-the-art treatment facilities, with 75-100 more clinics to be established in the coming days.
CM Mann announced a significant step in education by introducing 15 ‘Schools of Eminence’ in Punjab, set to be operational by August 15. These schools boast modern infrastructure and aim to provide high-quality education, focusing on grooming students for professional and competitive courses such as engineering, law, commerce, UPSC, and NDA. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of providing the best educational opportunities to the youth.
Cabinet Ministers Dr. Balbir Singh and Anmol Gagan Mann also addressed the gathering, expressing their support for the government’s initiatives in healthcare and education. Their presence highlighted the collective commitment to improving the well-being and future prospects of the people of Punjab.
