On Sunday, opposition leader M K Stalin even said Sathyavani Muthu’s existence would serve as an example for those other women who want to pursue democracy.
The DMK women having branch sponsored the Sathyavani Muthu centennial celebration in Madras, and Stalin requested the female cabinet ministers to model Sathyavani Muthu’s traits. “The existence of Sathyavani Muthu is a learning in itself,” Stalin stated.
Speaking at a celebration commemorating the great politician from the restricted caste’s 100th birthday, Chief Minister MK Stalin said that Sathyavani Muthu is an excellent example for women who pursue careers in government.
“Today, we also remembered Sathyavani Muthu Ammaiyar’s centenary, who flourished as a female warrior of the DMK,” Stalin concluded.
The Chief Minister complimented the late leadership’s popular conversational skills, noting that DMK founders and previous CM CN Annadurai had commended her and that his suggestion that DMK women spoke like the current party’s three female lionesses—Dr. Dharmambal, Movalur Ramamirtham, and Sathyavani Muthu—also prove it.
Stalin described Sathyavani’s political career in more detail, claiming that she had done everything possible from the beginning to the end. He added that Sathyavani had played a crucial role in the establishment of a university in Chennai bearing Doctor BR Ambedkar’s identity. She had worked for the Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) and DMK in various positions.
Stalin also encouraged the women’s section members to adopt Sathyavani Muthu’s spirit of struggle, feeling of commitment, and unwavering ideals. Dozens of women wing organizers, DMK ministers, and elected officials all attended the ceremony.
