Amit Shah, a senior member of the BJP and the Union home minister, criticised the opposition parties’ newly formed alliance this  Friday, saying they didn’t want to see the country given more power.

Before starting Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai’s padayatra, the federal home ministry spoke to a sizeable assembly in the temple town of Rameswaram near Ramanathapuram. Amit Shah attacked India harshly before the padayatra began, claiming that the alliance had different ambitions.
