Bengaluru FC maintains their gusty Victory even in their 5th Match

Bengaluru FC reclaimed sixth position in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) after defeating
ATK Mohun Bagan for the first time on Sunday at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan
Stadium. Javi Hernandez scored in the 77th minute, and Roy Krishna added a second in
stoppage time to give the visitors a 2-1 victory. It was the Blues’ sixth straight triumph.
Juan Ferrando was obliged to make two changes, with Liston Colaco and Federico Gallego
replacing the suspended Ashique Kuruniyan and Hugo Boumous, while Simon Grayson
selected an unchanged XI.
The two sides attempted moves into each other’s zones without much success until the
deadlock was ultimately broken in the 77th minute. Roshan Naorem floated the ball into the ATK
Mohun Bagan penalty area before Hernandez unleashed a thunderous volley that pierced
Kaith’s extended left hand and into the bottom corner.
Pablo Perez came in to assist Krishna’s goal in the first minute of stoppage time after
Hernandez opened the score in the 77th minute, with Kaith’s failed effort to grasp a cross
opening. Dimitri Petratos’ strike from outside the box bounced off Alan Costa and sailed past
Sandhu in the 93rd minute, just as the Blues believed the job was done. However, there wasn’t
enough time to cause additional problems for Bengaluru FC.

Bengaluru FC will continue their optimism into their next match against arch-rivals Kerala Blasters on February 11 after regaining sixth place. Meanwhile, ATK Mohun Bagan will be looking to get back on track when they host Jamshedpur FC on February 9.
