Bhartiya Janta Party appoints its new state chiefs for Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan and Odisha ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Why reshuffle takes place?
The Bhartiya Janta Party is now reshuffling its state members for their party to make it stronger for Rajasthan legislative Assembly elections 2023 to be held in December and 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The party replaced its previous chiefs while appointing new ones.
The news came from the party’s headquarters in New Delhi when BJP national President J P Nadda reshuffled state chiefs as reported by ANI on Thursday.
Who are appointed as new chiefs?
C P Joshi, Lok Sabha MP from Chittorgarh has been appointed new BJP President for Rajasthan replacing Satish Ponia. Virendra Sachdeva has been appointed as new President of BJP Delhi branch. This is major reshuffle done among the other four. Samrat Chaudhary, member of Bihar legislative assembly has been appointed as new chief for BJP Bihar branch and Manmohan Samal, former state revenue minister has been appointed as new chief for Odisha division.
