BJP launches Clean – Pilgrim – Spot campaign in Gujarat

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday cleaned the floors of the historic Karansinji High School and the streets of the city leading to the Balaji Hanuman Temple on Bhupendra Road in Rajkot, targeting areas surrounding major pilgrimage sites. Patel then instructed the cleaners to clean the school grounds and the street in front of the temple.

The head of his BJP force in Gujarat, CR Patil, joined the action from Surat, with numerous ministers and elected members of the ruling party taking similar actions at 22 other religious sites in the state. Overall, the party said its leaders will sweep and clean access roads and areas around 24 major religious sites in the state.
