On a meeting with Mr Amit Shah, Jarkiholi informed reporters that Shah had asked for the opinions of all leaders and urged us to cooperate. Balachandra Jarkiholi, the chairman of the KMF and a state legislator for Arabhavi, claimed that a conference held by Union Home Minister Amit Shah inspired BJP leaders to work hard to win all 18 assembly seats in the Belagavi district, and that work on the ground will start on February 1.
After their discussion on Saturday night, Jarkiholi told the media that Shah had listened to the views of all the leaders and had urged them to cooperate. Issues with the BJP organisation were discussed.
On Saturday night, BJP district leaders gathered behind closed doors at a hotel here with Shah and former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa to discuss party standing and preparations for the next assembly election.
