Bomb threat in Delhi school, immediate evacuation taken place

A south Delhi school had to be evacuated after bomb threat on Wednesday morning. As per reports, the Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received a bomb threat via email.

At 10:49 am on Wednesday, the school administration received an email regarding of bombs being in the school premises.

“The school has been evacuated, and a thorough check is being done by the bomb squad and other teams,” police said.

Chandan Chowdhary, Deputy Commissioner of police (South) has said that they received information about the email from the school authority in the morning, afterwards, the teams from the local police station and bomb detection squad rushed to the location.

A video has also been put on various social media platforms and has been showcased on many news channels in which the school shows a large crowd, most of them which are parents of the students, assembled at the gate.

One of the parents claimed that, “We received a message from the school asking us to take our children home.”

“This is not the first time the school admin received a bomb threat. Last year in November, the admin received a similar email from an unknown sender. That was a hoax email. Our teams are at the spot with Bomb Disposal Squad and dog squad,” Chandan Chowdhary further added, speaking to ANI.

According to police reports, the email which had surfaced in November was sent from Germany.
