Manish Sisodia was detained by the investigators from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday because of supposed inconsistencies in the now-repealed alcohol ordinance of the District administration. After 7 – 8 hours of official questioning, he was released from jail.
The government will present Sisodia in front of a municipal magistrate on Monday. The government will request to question him in custody. Because Sisodia is the primary person charged with the crime and must be faced with co-accused for some further investigations, the bureau is likely to request that he be placed under custody for questioning.
About 11 am, Sisodia arrived at the Bureau head office. The bureau interrogated him a second attempt. The organisation had already questioned Sisodia around October 17. He is a key defendant in both the Bureau investigation and the following money-laundering case that the Enforcement Directorate is looking into (ED). Sisodia, who has constantly denied all wrongdoing, has not yet been given a charging sheet. According to those with firsthand understanding of the circumstances, the bureau will now submit a supplemental criminal complaint outlining Sisodia’s suspected role in the case shortly after he was apprehended.
Sisodia stated on Sunday that he will completely cooperate with the CBI before appearing before it. They will arrest me, but they won’t back down; we’ll struggle. Only Kejriwal holds the key towards this nation’s destiny.”
“I am not scared to go to prison multiple times. My spouse stood alongside me when I quit my journalistic profession, and she continues to do so today. If I’m arrested, my staff members will take responsibility for my loved ones “Added he.
