EFFECT OF NEW LAWS ON CLAT PG AND AILET PG 2023 EXAMS

The Announcement on June 11, 2023, by our Hon’ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a historical change in the Indian History. The proposition of three new Bills that will be replacing the three major laws which were the blood and flesh of our Criminal body of Legal Fraternity and is proposed to be replaced.

Monsoon Session has ended on 11 August, 2023 already due to which the proper due course procedure has been on halt but not for long as soon as the Winter session starts of the Parliament it will soon be resuming around 7 December 2023.

This Landmark revolution will change the landscape of criminal law in India. Three Basic Acts are in future to be repealed and replaced with new laws as following:

  • The CRPC of 1973 will replace by the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

These are still proposed bill which are yet to be heard in the Winter Session. These bill when enforceable will convert on making criminal justice system more advance, contemporary to the new societal norms with efficient, speedy and fair manner.

EFFECT OF CHANGES IN CLAT PG AND AILET PG EXAMS

The effect of these changes will not been instantly as we know the dates which are declared as of now for CLAT PG is on 3rd December 2023 and AILET PG to be held on 10th December 2023. So as per the dates of the exams and winter session of parliament makes it very improbable for these exams to ask question directly from the proposed bills but there is a high possibility of questions in a form of summary or passage that can be asked on concept basis to grasp and test the understanding of upcoming laws from the appearing students. One important underlining that has to be adhered to is the changes that has been brought on some conceptual basis and to make more modern for the use cases on a day to day basis are required by the students to must go through it.

So. its nothing to be worried about the new bill and existing enforced criminal laws will be primary basis of study syllabus for this year until the latest news is retrieved from the Parliamentary session.

NOTE: CUET 2024 is surely an exception. Because it is highly probable, new exam syllabus will be based on these new Laws and are required by the students to check NTA website and there institution faculties to get the latest information or keep following STMN News for the latest information.
