External Affairs Minister S. The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral ties and exploring avenues for cooperation within various international frameworks.

During his meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Jaishankar expressed his enthusiasm for advancing cooperation between the two nations within the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa), G20, and UN frameworks. Jaishankar also held discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Amirabdolahian, during which they reviewed the bilateral ties between India and Iran. The ministers explored opportunities to strengthen their cooperation within the BRICS bloc, as well as the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Notably, special emphasis was placed on the development and utilization of the Chabahar port, which holds significant potential for enhancing connectivity and trade between the two countries.

Additionally, Jaishankar met with UAE’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Together, these nations represent a substantial portion of the world’s population, GDP, and global trade. The ‘Friends of BRICS’ gathering provided an opportune moment for Jaishankar to engage with his counterparts and foster stronger relationships within this influential forum.

As India’s External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar’s diplomatic efforts have consistently aimed at forging stronger ties with countries across the globe.
