Hyderabad is still on red alert, and officials are preparing for the effect as the rain gets heavier.

As per the weather forecast, As the area continues to experience heavy rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Hyderabad city.

Several places in and around the city have already received heavy rainfall, according to data made public by the Telangana State Development Planning Society.65.8 mm of rain has fallen in Miyapur as of this morning at eight o’clock. The cities Kapra (63.8 mm), Cherlapalli (62.8 mm), Langar House (60.5 mm), Hydernagar (59.5 mm), and Chadrayangutta (58.8 mm) are close behind.

 As a result, locals seek caution and avoid leaving their homes unless essential. To avoid these situations, authorities have also advised residents to refrain from driving over flooded streets and underpasses.

The authorities are constantly watching the situation to avoid potential flooding as the water levels in several lakes and reservoirs in and around Hyderabad are rising. Low-lying area residents have to take essential safety measures.
