On Wednesday, TMC leader Mukul Roy said, “I have already resigned from the TMC and if BJP entrusts me with responsibility I will take it.” He also mentions, “There is no question of resigning from Trinamool Congress. I am not a part of TMC. I have already left the party.”
“I was in BJP previously and will be in the same party”, added Roy. Earlier when there was speculation of Mukul joining BJP, Suvendu Adhikari said, “We are not interested in bringing rejected leaders. Our only interest is to strengthen the booth. The BJP in West Bengal is now independent.”
On Monday, Mukul Roy went missing. After his disappearance his son Subhranshu lodged a missing complaint at Kolkata NSCBI airport police station. Subhranshu mentions, “Few days back my father had brain surgery. Now he is missing. His phone is also switched off. I don’t know anything about why he went to Delhi.”
Mukul Roy, a former union railway minister is an MLA of Krishnanagar North and had contested the polls on the BJP ticket. After he left BJP and joined TMC, BJP demanded cancellation of Mukul’s membership from the Assembly.
