Jagan to finally shift to Vizag

In September, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, indicated he would move his family to Visakhapatnam. He declared that he would move to the city in September of this year. After placing the cornerstone for the Mulapeta port, formerly known as Bhavanapadu port, Jagan Mohan Reddy made this statement during a public gathering in the Srikakulam district on Wednesday. Recently, at the request of the locals, the state government renamed the port.

The chief minister declared that Visakhapatnam enjoys a favourable reputation throughout the state and that he will soon begin residing and conducting business there. He did this as a part of his ambitions to decentralise government. He declared that the city’s executive capital would begin operating in September of this year. Similar remarks were made by the chief minister at the most recent Global Investment Summit in Visakhapatnam. He promised the investors that he would move his business to the city in July of this year. It is unknown why the chief minister changed the decision from July to September.

Until now, plenty of ministers have shown support for making Visakhapatnam the state’s executive capital and moving the administration there. The chief minister would move his base to Visakhapatnam following Ugadi, according to media leaks over the past two years. Due to the departure of two Ugadis, Jagan Mohan Reddy is still in business from Tadepalli in Amaravati. The Amaravati controversy is the subject of cases before the supreme court. The farmers are opposed to the capital’s branches being moved from Amaravati. They disagree with the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration’s plans for the three capitals, and an appeals court case is currently being litigated.

Due to this, the shifting of Chief Minister Reddy to Vishakhapatnam is of extreme importance.
