On Tuesday, NIA raided second time more than 12 places in Jammu & Kashmir to eliminate the network of terrorists.
On May 9th, The National Investigating Agency (NIA) raided early in the morning more than 12 places on the network of terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir.
Twelve locations are from the Kashmir region and four are from the Jammu region.
The locations are, Srinagar, Kupwara, Shopian, Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Kulgam districts of Kashmir and Poonch, Rajouri & Kishtwar district in Jammu.
The first raid conducted on May 2 at over 12 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the seizure of several incriminating materials and digital tools linked to the terror plot.
Reason behind Raids
Two terrorist attacks took place within two weeks in Poonch district and Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Ten of our brave soldiers mercilessly killed by the terrorists.
The NIA carried out two raids for nab groups like Overground Workers (OGWs) and cadres supporting terrorists by providing cash, drugs, bombs and weapons to spread violence and terror in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
NIA detained Barbar in the Poonch district of Jammu region, recovered 3 mobile phones from him, and also scanned the data of these 3 mobile phones.
The NIA also took into custody a 32-year-old preacher from South Kashmir Valley, who drives an auto and is a relative of slain terrorist Abbas Sheikh.
Fayaz Ahmad Baba, who runs a grocery shop, was also detained on suspicion of being part of the terrorists’ network in the Shopian district.
NIA probing activities of newly formed terrorist groups such as ‘The Resistance Front (TRF)’, ‘Mujahideen Gazwat-Ul-Hind (MGH)’, United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (UL J&K)’, Jammu & Kashmir Freedom (JKFF), PAFF, Kashmir Tigers and others.
These groups are related to Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda, etc.
Conclusion
This major action of the NIA has taken place amidst the tension created by the abrogation of Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The move praised and criticized around the world and within the country.
