Congress leader Kapil Sibal remarked that Prime Minister Modi should pay attention to the protesting women wrestlers as “Mann Ki Baat” reached 100 episodes.

On Sunday, April 30, while the 100th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio show “Mann ki Baat” was being broadcast, Congress made fun of PM Modi for his “silence on critical issues.”

Kapil Sibal, the head of the Congress, suggested that the Prime Minister pay attention to the protesting women wrestlers’ “Mann Ki Baat.”

On Sunday, the protesting wrestlers invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend their own “Mann ki Baat.”

Leading wrestlers are protesting in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, calling for an investigation into charges of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the head of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

Please listen to our Mann ki Baat, PM Modi: wrestler Sakshee Malik

In a demonstration against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, wrestlers held a candle march at Jantar Mantar in the nation’s capital on Wednesday, April 26. The candle march included Vinesh Phoghat, Bajrang Punia, and Sakshee Malik.

Sakshee stated to the media, “We implore PM Modi to hear our Mann Ki Baat. We are not being heard by Smriti Irani ji either.

Through this candle march, we’re attempting to illuminate their darkness, Sakshee told the media. After filing a complaint against the WFI and its head on Friday, the wrestler claimed that no FIR had been filed.

Prior to filing a FIR against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Singh over claims of sexual harassment, Delhi Police said in a statement to the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Brij Bhushan Mocks Protesting Wrestlers

The president of the Wrestling Federation of India and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has stepped forward to defend himself amid the wrestlers’ protest at Jantar Mantar. He asserted that the majority of wrestlers in the nation back him, and that just a tiny number of wrestlers connected to a Congress leader had brought allegations against him. He also criticised the wrestlers who were criticising him for not going to the police, but instead staging demonstrations at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

They are criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people speaking against him and others in the area are all railway workers.

Additionally, they are criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people speaking against him and others in the area are all railway workers. It needs to be looked into,” he said.

He told the wrestlers to go speak with the police and the judge, and he pledged to accept the court’s ruling. “Jantar Mantar won’t bring you justice. You must visit the police and court if you want justice. That has never been done before. They only hurled insults. We will accept whatever the court decides, said the WFI president.

“Their demand fluctuates from time to time. Right away, you should take the agitation into account. They then sought the resignation of the WFI president. They then raised the subject of sexual harassment. Following that, they urged the government to conduct an inquiry, he added.

It is bad for sports in general, not just for wrestlers- PT Usha

Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra and former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev have spoken out in favour of the wrestlers, but PT Usha, the head of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), has criticised them.

The Indian Olympic Association has a commission looking into sexual harassment; the protesting wrestlers could have come to us sooner rather than taking to the streets, but they didn’t. It is bad for sports in general, not just for wrestlers. She said that they should also get punishment.
