Maurya’s promotion as SP general secretary by Akhilesh reminds one of Ghazni, Ghori

The BJP slammed Samajwadi Party head Akhilesh Yadav on Monday for appointing Swami Prasad Maurya as party general clerk just days after his controversial statements about the’ Ramcharitmanas,’ comparing him to raiders Ghazni and Ghori.

In a statement, the ruling party claimed that with this appointment, Yadav has made egregious his” intentions on damaging honour, tone- respect and religion of Hindus”. Swami Prasad Maurya, a prominent OBC politician in the state, sparked a contestation on January 22 when he claimed that some sections in the’ Ramcharitmanas’ — a notorious restatement of Tulsidas’ Ramayana —” personality” a huge portion of society on the grounds of estate, and requested that similar passages be banned.

On Sunday, the Samajwadi Party( SP) blazoned its 63- member public leadership, and Swami Prasad Maurya was one of 14 general registers named by the party.

According to a statement made by the governing party in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, Yadav’s appointment of Swami Prasad Maurya as an SP public general clerk demonstrated that he was backing his comment on the’ Ramcharitmanas,’ and this is an attack on the Hindu faith and Sanatan culture.

” The SP chief’s trouble reminds me of Muhammad of Ghazni and Muhammad Ghori. They came from outdoors and assaulted Sanatan culture and Hindu faith; the SP leader is doing the same thing by remaining then,” Chaudhary explained.

Ghazni and Ghori were trimmers who had frequently destroyed India and despoiled tabernacles.

” The SP leader has awarded Swami Prasad Maurya by designating him a public general clerk for affronting Hindu faith and Sanatan culture and abusing the Ramcharitmanas,” Chaudhary remarked.

” By appointing Swami Prasad Maurya as general clerk, the SP head has made it apparent that he intends to harm Hindu honour, tone- respect, and faith,” the BJP leader stated.

The Sant Samaj and certain Hindutva organisations have vehemently condemned Swami Prasad Maurya’s words, and a complaint has been filed against him.

Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had challenged Yadav to clarify if he opposed or supported Swami Prasad Maurya’s commentary, and had prompted him to dismiss the leader from the party if he was against it.

Keshav Prasad Maurya twittered in response to the SP leader’s appointment as public general clerk,” The mentally crazed SP has exposed itsanti-Hindu character by making the bone

who has disrespected the’ Ramcharitmanas’ the public general clerk, Yadav has put the final nail in the pall of SP.” Swami Prasad Maurya, a press minister in the former BJP administration, left the Bahujan Samaj Party in 2016 and joined the saffron party.

He joined the SP days ahead of last time’s state assembly choices.

Swami Prasad Maurya ran unsuccessfully as an SP seeker for the Fazilnagar seat in Kushinagar quarter. latterly, the SP appointed him to the legislative council.
