Naveen Patnaik and his officials, stationed at the site of horrible train accident in Odisha

A deadly collision of three trains in the eastern state of India has led the death toll to over 300. And more than 900 people are injured. This tragic accident is considered as the Biggest Train accident in this century in India. Earlier the night, many politicians across the nation expressed their condolences for the victims. And assured the Odisha Cm Naveen Patnaik of all the needed assistance. Among Them were Chhattisgarh’s CM Bhupesh Baghel. And Tamil Nadu’s CM, MK Stalin. The ground reports state that NDRF, SDRF and all other railway authorities have been working since the past 12 hours to rescue the people.

What Did the CM say on this?

Earlier in the Morning, The Odisha cm Naveen Patnaik said that “this is an extremely tragic train accident” The minister thanked the local people and local teams at Balasore who worked overnight to rescue people. Patnaik addressed that Railway safety should be prioritised. Immediately after the accident Patnaik confined the media at night and said “Everything is under review” and the CM assured that he will reach the accident site early in the morning to review all the Ploys of the de-rail accident, which he did. Along with Patnaik, the Railway Minister of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw reached the site of the accident.

The Odisha CM along with the railway minister discussed the rescue operation.

Reports say that Locals in Balasore are standing in queues in hospitals to donate blood, and the locals have opened their homes for the victims. Many government officials are stationed at the site to assist. The death toll is estimated to rise above 400. Earlier in the morning, Patnaik visited Balasore district hospital where the scores of those injured are receiving treatment. He met all the survivors of this petrifying disaster.

The Last Time such a disastrous accident took place in India was in 1999. The Gaisal Train disaster that happened in Assam killed at least 290 people. Nitish Kumar was the Railway Minister back in time and he took all the moral responsibility and resigned from the post.
