Today in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave a speech and motivated teachers on the profession of teaching and aligning the New Education Policy with Indian Values and Ancient Learning Machinery.
He was invited as a chief guest for speaking at the sixth convocation of the Indian Institute of Teacher Training in Gandhinagar IITE. Mr Shah hailed the policy’s integration of traditional Indian Values with contemporary knowledge and on demand skills. Where the world is seeking doctors, IT professional, engineers, India will be again become the knowledge hub of the world with the help of this New Education Policy (NEP).
He emphasized on the switch of the education landscape in the country which is outdated from colonial rule and is now transforming by harmonizing it with core Indian principles, facilitating the infusion of modern wisdom into the nation.
Amit Shah in his speech said “The amalgamation of ancient wisdom and contemporary education reforms the cornerstone of this revolutionary policy, marking a distinctive approach.” He also said that the new education policy, crafted under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encompasses novel dimensions of modern learning coupled with the rich legacy of traditional education. Shah asserted that this synergy would elevate Indian students to global excellence.
In his discourse, Amit Shah commended PM Modi’s visionary approach, mentioning the establishment of various specialised universities. PM Modi’s foresight has incorporated institutions like Raksha University, Forensic University, Yoga University, and Child University (also known under the slogan Tejaswi Balak, Tejaswi Bharat means energetic kids makes energetic country).
Amit Shah also urged graduating students to diligently study the new education policy. He commented PM Modi’s contributions in laying the foundation for youth empowerment and expressed confidence that the graduates would excel the policy’s success, shaping the future of India as educators and mentors.
He made teachers to focus on themselves as they play a pivotal role in nurturing responsible citizens, imparting values of humanity and patriotism. He concluded by acknowledging the presence of dignitaries, including the Governor of Gujarat and IITE Chancellor Acharya Devrat.
This convocation served as a platform to celebrate the convergence of traditional wisdom and modern education, as India takes strides towards a holistic and globally relevant education landscape after the opening of IITs and IIMs in foreign nations.
