PM Modi addresses Karnataka ahead of Assembly polls

Ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections, Narendra Modi addressed the people of Karnataka on Sunday, urging them to vote for the BJP. Modi focused on the BJP’s achievements in the state and emphasized the need for a stable and strong government.

Modi’s address

Modi highlighted the success of the BJP-led government in the state, citing the development of the state’s infrastructure. There is also improvement in the agriculture sector, and measures taken to combat corruption.

While speaking about the government’s efforts, he said, “We are making efforts to promote the welfare of farmers and the BJP is committed to doubling their income by 2022.”

Modi stressed the importance of a stable government and urged the people of Karnataka to vote for the BJP to ensure continued progress and development in the state.

COVID-19 vaccination drive

Modi urged people to get vaccinated and spoke about the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive. He said that India is one of the few countries that have developed its own vaccine. It has also exported it to other countries.

Modi said, “We are taking all necessary measures to control the spread of the virus. It is also conducting the vaccination drive in a smooth and efficient manner to assure the people of Karnataka.”

Election Commission’s role

Modi also praised the Election Commission’s role in conducting free and fair elections and urged people to vote in large numbers. He said that every vote is important and that the people of Karnataka have the power to shape the state’s future.


They have scheduled the Karnataka Assembly elections to be held on May 12. The BJP, Congress, and JD(S) are the main contenders in the state. Observers see Modi’s address as an attempt by him to sway voters towards the BJP and ensure the party’s victory in the state.
