POCO X4 GT finally get its OS updated to Android 12-based MIUI 14: What you need to know?

The POCO X4 GT is finally getting updated to the latest version Android 13-based MIUI 14. The model was launched last year in June. It was packed with Android 12 based MIUI 13 which is being updated into the new Android 13-based MIUI 14. The model has now received its first major OS revamp after its launch last year. The latest update comes with a bunch of solid new features including Google’s January security patches along with the latest firmware version.

The Xiaomiui reports mention that the MIUI 14 update for the Poco X4 GT will be accessible globally with the January security patches and firmware version MIUI 14.0.1.0.TLOMIXM. The updates are coupled with new ‘super-icons’ and brand new widgets, with a refurbished visual design and overall improvements to Settings menu searches. Users can use the MIUI Downloader to download the new 709MB update to upgrade their devices. The update is now provided to users who have enrolled in Poco Pilots and the full update will be made available widely for all users soon.

Xiaomi had previously updated the OS of Xiaomi 11T and POCO F4 with the Android 13-based MIUI 14 but had only added the December security updates in them. The POCO X4 GT is built with a 6.6-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and includes a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. Additionally, the model has a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1 primary sensor alongside its 5,080 mAH battery that can be charged using a 67W fast-charger. The smartphone also includes a vapour cooling chamber for heat reduction during high performance activities like gaming and media playback.
