How congress hits back on central over Manipur issue
The congress took a hit on the central government as no precautionary actions were taken to bring down the crisis in Manipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not even confront the crisis for once and neither did he visit the state after the riot-like situation where over 100 people died and more than 1000 people were expatriated. Congress Posted a video on twitter stating how congress leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur shastri, Indira Gandhi worked on grassroot level without any fear unlike our present prime minister. Congress posted this video with a caption asserting “Rahul is heading for Manipur with a message of love.” And according to sources Rahul Gandhi has not sought any prior permission from the home ministry, as there is no travel ban to the state of Manipur.
Non BJP governments are supporting the spirit of Congress Leader. Shiv Sena’s Leader Sanjay Raut confronted the press lately. He said “It is a good thing that Rahul Gandhi is going to Manipur. Home minister Amit shah visited Manipur ,but nothing changed. And Prime minister Narendra Modi did not even mention Manipur in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ even for Once.” Furthermore, Raut added that the situation in Manipur might deteriorate as China is interfering in such internal matters.
