Rayudu to join Jagan’s YSRCP?

Popular cricketer Ambati Tirupati Rayudu said that he would join the ruling YSR Congress party led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy just days after announcing that he will soon enter Andhra Pradesh politics.

It was clear from Rayudu’s tweet on Wednesday night, in which he praised Jagan Mohan Reddy for his audacious speech at Naupada in Srikakulam, where he lay the cornerstone for the Mulapadu seaport. Jagan Mohan Reddy had made the address.

Excellent speech. Our chief minister, @ysjagan garu, has the full faith and trust of the whole state. Following Jagan’s address in Srikakulam, Rayudu tweeted that the public is his army in his battle against the opposition parties who are attacking him like wolves.

Ambati declared he will soon enter politics and that educated youth should do the same to make a difference. Even though he was raised in Hyderabad, he claimed he was interested in running in the elections for the Andhra region from his hometown of Guntur.

Because Rayudu had made some negative remarks about the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, there was originally speculation that he was not a fan of the YSR Congress party. He is from the Kapu community, thus there were rumors that he could like the Jana Sena Party, which is led by the charismatic Pawan Kalyan.

Due to his strong relationships with the BRS leaders, particularly K Chandrasekhar Rao’s nephew and state finance minister T Harish Rao, there were suggestions that he may join Andhra politics on behalf of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which is run by the Telangana chief minister.

Additionally, he is well connected to Thota Chandrasekhar, the head of the BRS Andhra Pradesh chapter and a native of the Guntur area. It is rumored that Thota, a fellow Kapu chieftain, knows members of the Rayudu family.

It is quite evident that Rayudu could prefer the YSRCP to make his electoral debut now that he has publicly complimented Jagan!
