Sleaze CD case; Ramesh Jarkiholi meets Home Minister Amit Shah

Ramesh Jarkiholi, a former minister and BJP MLA, is expected to see Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday in the nation’s capital to advocate for the transfer of the purported Sex CD controversy to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Currently residing in New Delhi, Ramesh Jarkiholi has threatened to have Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar imprisoned for “framing” him in false allegations. With the same demand, he has already spoken with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. According to sources close to him, Jarkiholi is staying at a private hotel and has received confirmation from Amit Shah’s office of an appointment. According to Jarkiholi, Shivakumar and his group plotted a conspiracy on him as a result of the purported Sex CD incident. Additionally, he said he had proof against Shivakumar in this respect and would provide it to the CBI.

During his latest visit to Belagavi, he updated Amit Shah on the situation as well. Additionally, Jarkiholi is probably going to provide the Home Minister certain papers. According to sources, he will also visit the Maharashtra Bhavan in New Delhi to see his godfather, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis. The allegedly pornographic CD that was issued in March 2021 sparked a heated debate in the state. Following the severe humiliation, the ruling BJP in Karnataka removed Jarkiholi, who was a key player in Operation Lotus, the party’s attempt to seize control of the state, from the cabinet.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the rape charges against Jarkiholi had already submitted a “B report” in the case, claiming there was insufficient evidence to support the charge or the other claims made against him.

Jarkiholi is now running for a state cabinet position.

BROTHER REQUESTS CALM

Balachandra Jarkiholi, a BJP MLA and younger sibling, has urged a request for calm. The public arguments, he claimed, had no justification. “Mr. Ramesh, Mr. Shivakumar, and Ms. Hebbalkar are fighting verbally among themselves. That will have no effect. They are all respected leaders. Such accusations and denials made in public will cause more harm than good” he stated.
