Redmi 12C may be available in the global markets in the upcoming weeks. Various reports concerning the different variants of branding of the smartphone have been found online. A previous report mentioned that the handset may launch as the Poco C55 internationally. However, a new report revealed that the Redmi 12C will be launched in India later this month. Another new Xiaomi smartphone model has been revealed on the Geekbench database which might be the global version of the Redmi 12C smartphone. The handset is supposedly packed with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.
The global version of the new Redmi 12C is listed on the Geekbench database with the model name Xiaomi 22120RN86G. This model comes with an octa-core chipset which include two performance 2GHz cores and six 1.80GHz efficiency cores. Based on that, users have assumed that this chipset is the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.Â
The listing does not reveal any specifications of this entry-level smartphone. However, the database reveals that the smartphone achieved a single-core performance score of 355 points and a multi-core performance score of 1,173 points.Â
The handset has already been launched in China. The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage model has a starting price of roughly Rs. 8,500. The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version is priced at roughly Rs. 11,000.
The Redmi 12C is packed with a 6.71-inch HD+ display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset along with a Mali-G52 GPU. In the camera department, the Redmi 12C is equipped with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.
