SP Supremo Akhilesh Yadav takes dig at BJP, calls Investors Summit “Manipulative & waste of taxpayer money”

SP Chief & Ex-UP CM Akhilesh Yadav called the Global Investors Summit an “eyewash” and said that rather of furnishing relief to the common man from rising prices, the BJP Is wasting people’s hard-earned money to the capitalists for events which may eventually not bring enough investment.

The BJP claims that the GIS 2023 will bring an investment worth Rs 20 lakh crore for the state. But the government is yet to give the break-up of investment that they generated in the investors’ peak held during the first stint of the BJP government. They also organised the Defence Expo with important fanfare and announced that waeapons will be made in Bundelkhand. “The government should come out with specific details of the jobs that the two events had created for the unemployed youths of the state,” said Akhilesh.

He said that to bait industrialists and mislead the people with the pretentiousness and hype of investors summit, public money is being spent in the name of adverts, decoration and lodging of delegates.

“The total amount spent on the investors’ peak may turn out to be further than the total investment that the event will bring,” he said.

Akhilesh questioned the purpose of spending money on temporarily planting seasonal plants on separations and by the roadside.

He said had the government managed its periodic colony drive further completely, this capitalist being spent on’ setting up’ verdure at locales anticipated to be visited by investors, could have been saved.

He said the BJP has done nothing that it can showcase. rather, venues like Gomti Riverfront and Metro rail are being showcased to impress the investors. “The JP International Centre that came up during the SP government is an illustration of political apathy of the BJP as it’s lying in shambles”, he said.
