Three troops from the Army were killed in a clash with militants in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

In the Halan forest area of the Kulgam district, there was a clash between security forces and terrorists. Three Army personnel were hurt, and one of them later passed away while receiving medical attention.

Following information regarding the presence of terrorists there, security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation in the upper reaches of the Halan forest area of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir, a police officer told the news agency PTI.

Four AK-47 rifles were stolen from the army men slain in the confrontation by a terrorist.

Three employees were hurt during the fire match with the terrorists, and one of them eventually died. Search efforts are still on, according to a tweet from the Chinar Corps of the Army in Srinagar.

Army’s 15 Corps stated in a tweet that the operation in the area is still in progress.

When terrorists fired at the security personnel and they replied, the search operation evolved into an engagement. Three members of the security forces were hurt during the exchange of fire, and they died while receiving medical attention, an official told PTI.

“The encounter has begun in the highest parts of the Halan forest area in the Kulgam district. The Kulgam Police and Army are working. More information will be provided, the Kashmir Zone Police tweeted as well.
