Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra slammed BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal’s statement on the Congress leader. Jaiswal on Tuesday said that “a person born to a foreign woman can’t be a patriot.”
“This is so sick and so perverted at so many levels. Saffron sickos always thought this but sad to see it being legitimized by @BJP, she tweeted.
Speaking to NDTV earlier that day Jaiswal said “a person born to a foreign woman can never be a patriot” – claiming these to be Chanakya’s words from 2000 years ago.
A similar remark came from BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur against Gandhi. The MP who comes from Bhopal claimed “Chanakya had said a son born to a foreign woman can never be a patriot” adding to this “Rahul Gandhi proved the saying to be true”
“This is not Mahua supporting RG, Godi Media. It’s Mahua defending decency,” she further said in her tweet.
Rahul was disqualified as an MP after a Surat court convicted him of a criminal defamation case for the remark he made ahead of the 2019 general elections about the ‘Modi surname.’
During one of his rallies, he had said he wonder ‘all thieves have Modi as the common surname”
