Two Indigo Flights made Emergency landing yesterday, facing technical glitch

Yesterday, two IndiGo flights were compelled to make emergency landings in a row due to a technical glitch. The first flight was from Madurai to Mumbai, whereas the second one was from Kolkata to Bengaluru. Both flights landed safely despite the glitch.

Earlier in the morning of August 29, an IndiGo flight that was destined from Madurai to Mumbai faced some technical issues prior to landing in Mumbai. In the matter, IndiGo released a statement saying, “The pilot prioritized the landing in Mumbai. The aircraft is held at Mumbai and will be back in operation after necessary maintenance. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.”

The later flight also managed to make a safe landing in Mumbai after finding one of its engines had a glitch.

“Engine 2 Stall occurred and Engine2 oil chip detected warning came. Engine2 was shut down as per the checklist and the aircraft landed safely,” said the Director General of Civil Aviation.

According to the officials, both IndiGo aircraft were running on Pratt and Whitney engines. All the passengers on both flights landed safely.
