Uddhav Thackeray refers to Devendra Fadnavis as a “useless home minister” after a party worker was “assaulted”Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray attacked Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis directly on Tuesday (April 4), branding him a “useless home minister” and claiming that during Fadnavis’s leadership, the rule of law was not being upheld in Maharashtra.

“Such a worthless home minister has no business leading the home ministry. They are fast to set up SITs and pick up visitors from outside the state when it comes to their own residences. Thackeray told the media that the state had become anarchic and was now run by gundas.

An alleged assault on a Shiv Sena (UBT) member that occurred in Thane on Monday night served as the catalyst for his outburst against Fadnavis.Roshni Shinde, a Shiv Sena (UBT) member, allegedly suffered an assault at the hands of Eknath Shinde faction supporters. She is now a patient at the hospital.

When Thackeray heard about the attack, he decided to meet Roshni in Thane. His wife Rashmi Thackeray and son Aaditya Thackeray were with him. The Thane police commissioner was not there when Thackeray went to visit him to ask about the assault.

Fadnavis responded to Thackeray by saying, “Considering his 30-month tenure as CM, the entire Maharashtra has come to know who is useless. What authority does he have to talk on these issues if, as chief minister, he lacked the guts to ask two of his colleagues who were arrested to resign? A person who remained confined to his house for 30 months should not instruct us in statecraft. He won’t be able to hide his face if we open our mouths.
