UPSC Civil Service 2023: Registration opens; review qualifying requirements and more

UPSC Civil Service (Prelims) 2023 Registration: The UPSC Civil Service (Prelims) 2023 examination has begun. Candidates can apply online at upsconline.nic.in, the official website.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) launched the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) 2023 application process today. The application form must be completed by February 21. Candidates who are eligible and interested can apply online at upsconline.nic.in

This year, the UPSC has announced 1105 civil service test openings. The Civil Services preliminary test will be place on May 28, and the main examination will begin on September 15.

Before completing the form, candidates must be fully informed of the qualifying requirements. The exam notice is accessible on UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in. Meanwhile, review the eligibility requirements and registration procedures listed below.

UPSC Civil Services 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • To apply for the UPSC Civil Services test, the candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • They must be at least 21 years old and no older than 32 years old. However, the upper age restriction is waived for some categories such as SC, ST, OBC, military people, and others.
  • An applicant must have a graduate degree from one of the accredited universities, according to the official announcement.

Candidates who are eligible may take the CSE 2023 six times. Applicants from the SC and ST categories, on the other hand, get an unlimited number of tries, whilst OBC candidates have a maximum of nine. PwBD applicants from the general and EWS categories are likewise allowed nine tries.

UPSC Civil Services 2023: Registration Process

Step 1: Navigate to UPSC’s official website at upsconline.nic.in.

Step 2: Scroll down the website and, on the right-hand side, click the ‘Apply Online’ option.

Step 3: Now, click on the ‘Online Application for Various Examinations’ option.

Step 4: Locate the link for the appropriate recruitment’s online application.

Step 5: Complete the UPSC IAS and IFS application process in two parts.

Step 6: Provide basic information in the first section, then read all essential instructions for picture specification, fee payment, rectification, and so forth.

Step 7: Click the ‘Submit‘ button and then proceed with the following set of steps.

Step 8: Pay the online application cost, choose an examination location, and upload the relevant papers.

The commission has also begun the online registration procedure for the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 through CS(P) Examination 2023; the application window will conclude on February 21. The prelims exam is held concurrently with the civil services prelims test; however, the mains and personality interview are held separately.
