Versace girl Dua Lipa to co-design a collection with the Brand.

The pop star and Donatella Versace, the chief creative director of the brand, announced this iconic collaboration through an Instagram post featuring the two icons in a black-and-white photo.

The high-summer women’s collection, “La Vacanza” is set to be debuted on Tuesday, May 23rd, in Cannes, France, coinciding with the infamous film festival.

The brand recently had a runway show featuring its Autumn/Winter 2023 collection in Los Angeles, which was attended by the singer and several LA-based celebs, including Anne Hathaway, Cher, Demi Moore, Channing Tatum, Dua Lipa, Ke Huy Quan, Miley Cyrus, Pamela Anderson, MJ Rodriguez, and a few others.

This collaboration is a result of the budding relationship Dua Lipa has with the brand. She established a great relationship with the brand through many red-carpet appearances, shows, and outings where she was spotted donning stunning Versace pieces. Her butterfly dress for the 2021 Grammy Awards or her campy look for the 2019 Met Ball have certainly proved that she is a true ‘Versace Icon’. Moreover, the singer also made her runway debut in the Versace Spring/Summer 2022 collection.

The ‘Levitating’ singer seems to have a strong friendship with Donatella as well. In the post, she shared, “I am absolutely thrilled to have co-designed the women’s “La Vacanza” collection for Versace with Donatella. She and I have formed such a strong bond over the years, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from her and the whole team since the very beginning of my career. For her to give me the honor of co-designing this collection and letting all my summer inspirations go wild has been a dream. I am so very proud of this collection and cannot wait to debut it in Cannes.”

In the past, the brand has collaborated with Cher to create a mini collection celebrating ‘Pride Month’ in 2022. Other notable Versace collaborations include Fendi (Fendi×Versace), Versace×H&M, and others.
